Built by the descendants of Lu Xiufu, the last prime minister of the Nan Song dynasty, the temple, containing six detailed records of its maintenance, is called a "living example of Chinese architecture". In its fabric are preserved elements of the architecture of Ming and Qing dynasties, combining features of the southern and northern architectural styles.
