Festivals: The famous Nadam Fair is held during July or August. This traditional festival occupies an important place in the life of Mongolian people. People taste savory milk tea, listening to melodious music from horse-head string instruments in this festival. Tomb of Wang Zhao Jun: Zhaojun is famed as one of the Four Beauties of ancient China. This tomb is the resting place of Wang Zhaojun. It has been listed among the eight most popular attractions in Hohhot. The tomb is a large man-made earthen mound, which is 33 meters high. In front of the tomb, bronze statues of Wang Zhaojun and her husband, depict a vivid picture of them riding horses and talking to each other intimately. Dazhao Temple: Dazhao Temple, also known as Wuliang Si, it was built during the Ming Dynasty and significantly extended toward the end of this period. The temple was quite grand and unique in architectural style. It remains intact despite being weathered by wind and rain for 400 years. Xilituzhao Palace is the most exquisite preserved temple in Hohhot and is a key cultural protection unit of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
