Simatai Great Wall is 3 hours' driving from Beijing city. Yes, it is far from Beijing City. I was wondering why so many travelers want to see the Simatai Great Wall after sightseeing on Badaling Great Wall. I got the answer till I visit Simatai wall myself.
Please keep in mind that Simatai Great Wall is steeper than other sections. At the same time, some place of Simatai Great Wall was seriously damaged. Please be careful when you walk on this part of Wall. But it is not a problem for young people. And please follow the guidepost on the wall. DO NOT climb the forbidden place.
