Beijing Datong Tour

Day 1. Beijing - Datong.
Our tour guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Beijing. Be transferred to train station. Our tour guide will company you to your train carriage. Take overnight train to Datong at 23:29.

Day 2. Datong
Arrive in Datong at 07:00 am on the morning. Local tour guide will meet you at the entrance of your train carriage. Be transferred to Hotel.
Visit the Yungang Grottoes, the Huayan Monastery, Shanhua Monastery and the Nine Dragon Screen. Be transferred back to Garden Hotel (4 star) after the tour.

Day 3. Datong
In the morning we will drive to Hunyuan County, about 1.5 hrs away from Datong to visit Mount Heng, which is one of the Five Great Mountains. Like the other mountains in China with strong Taoist presence, Heng Shan has been considered a sacred mountain since the Zhou Dynasty. Due to its northerly location, the mountain has made it impossible for pilgrimages by the Chinese to take place for much of its history. Because of this, Hengshan is not nearly as religiously important in China as the other Taoist mountains.
Then we will visit the Hanging Temple (Xuankongsi). Hanging temple is a temple built into a cliff near Mount Heng. Built more than 1,400 years ago, this temple is unique not only for its location on a sheer precipice but also because it includes Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian elements in the same temple.
Be transferred to train station after the tour.

Day 4. Datong-Beijing.
Arrive in Beijing Railway Station at 06:35 am. Our tour guide will meet you at the entrance of your train carriage.
Be transferred back to your hotel.
