Xingang Beijing Two Days Tour

Day 1. Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tombs
Be picked up from Xingang port at around 08:00 to 08:30 am.

Drive 2 and half hours to the Ming Tombs (Changling). Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one. Construction of the Changling was started in 1409 and completed in 1427.
Visit the biggest one of Ming Tombs (Chiangling Tombs) for 1 hour.

Visit a local Jade processing factory for about 40 minutes before lunch.Jade culture is one important part of Chinese culture. We hope foreign travelers can get a glimpse of Chinese Jade culture during this stop. Thousands of pieces of jade, jewelry and handicraft articles are exhibited, from small bracelet to huge carving. An open workshop is available to demonstrate Jade carving, which enable customers to get some knowledge of Chinese jade carving processes.

After lunch, move on to Badaling Great Wall. Badaling is the most famous section of Great Wall, well maintained. It is easy to walk along this section of defensive project of ancient China. Visit Great Wall for about 2 hours.

Transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 2. Tiananmen Square,Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven.
Pick you up from hotel lobby at 08:30 am.

Drive to Tiananmen Square, the biggest downtown Square of the world. Take a sightseeing on the famous square.

Enter Forbidden City from the north end of Tiananmen Square.
Forbidden City is also called Palace Museum and is located at the center of Beijing. It was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex.
Visit Forbidden City along the central axis for 1.5 to 2 hours.

Take a Chinese Herbal Medicine class for about 40 minutes before lunch.
Drugs that the Chinese medicine uses are usually plants, so it is usually called Chinese herbal medcine. In Chinese people's process of fighting with the disease for thousands of years, rich medical knowledge was gradually accumulated through the practice and understanding. These medcial knowledges be passed by apprentice dictation first, and then were written down in books, which helped the medcial knowledge spread fast and farther.

Have lunch in a nice local restaurant.

Drive to Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420, Temple of Heaven is situated south of Beijing city. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. Take sightseeing for about one hour.

Enjoy Chinese tea ceremony and have a rest in a local tea house.
China is the hometown and birthplace of Chinese tea. Being the national drinks of China, tea has a history of four to five thousand years. Tea culture is one of the specific representative ofChinese culture.

Be transferred back to Xingang port after the whole day tour. (Breakfast, Lunch)

8. Our driver will drive directly to the foot of Great Wall. Cable car is not necessary.
9. We will visit Ming Tombs on the morning and Great Wall in the afternoon. This will insure that you can have lunch on time and have enough time on Great Wall. The Great Wall is very beautiful when the sun is on the west.
