Detail Itinerary of 4 Days Tour of Chengdu Dujiangyan and Sanxingdui Ruins
Day 1. Arrival in Chengdu, Wuhou Temple, Dufu Cottage
Arrive in Chengdu. Be met by our tour guide and private vehicle and transferred to hotel. Visit Wuhou Temple. Located in the outskirts of Chengdu City, the temple built in the sixth century to commemorate Zhuge Liang (Kongming), known for his great wisdom as the Premier of the Shu, one of the "Three Kingdoms" in of 221-263A.D. The Emperor of Shu- Liu Bei's tomb is also in the temple. Visit the Dufu Cottage. Dufu was one of the greatest poets of the Tang Dynasty. The Cottage is his residence when he took refuge in Chengdu. It was just in this small and simple house that Du Fu was inspired to write more than 200 poems and some of which are regarded as masterpieces of realist poetry. Remainder of the day is at leisure. (Lunch)


Day 2. Dujiang Yan, Mt Qingcheng
Our tour guide and vehicle will pick you up from your hotel at 08:30 am. Drive to Dujiang yan, which locates approximately 50km from the city. The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is a pearl in the water works construction of ancient China, which was built over 2250 years ago to irrigate the Chengdu Basin, It has been cultivated the whole basin for more than 2000 years already and still provides benefits for the people now. Sightseeings include Dragon Subduing, Erwang Temple and Anlan Bridge, also known as the Wife & Husband Bridge. In the afternoon, Visit Mt. Qingcheng. Lying amidst the Western Mountains covered with pure white snow, Mt. Qingcheng dominates the fertile land of Chengdu. You can take cable car up to the mountain to have a bird-view of the city. (Breakfast, Lunch)


Day 3. Base of Panda, Sanxingdui
Visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The base is located on the mountain of Futoushan in the northern suburbs of the city, where you can see pandas bred in nature. After lunch, visit the Sanxingdui Museum. It is a modern museum located in the northeast of the Sanxingdui Remains, which are composed of several large relic areas. The areas are the largest, most important and elegant ancient Shu cultural relics sites in Sichuan covering 12 square-km in total. Life went on here about 2,800 to 4,800 years ago, equivalent to the late Neolithic Age. (Breakfast, Lunch)


Day 4. Departure
Be picked up from your hotel and transferred to airport for departure. (Breakfast)
