Yong Mausoleum is the tomb of Wangjian who was a powerful head of ancient
Shu State in present Sichuan. The tomb formed by 14 double stone vaults,
the coffin chamber, and the chamber was divided into three parts by wooden
doors. The coffin rests in the middle chamber on a coffin bed. The bed
itself is embossed with two dragons playing with a ball, and lions were
carved on each side. It is considered the most exquisite and valuable
of its kind. There are murals with 24 musicians and regional instruments
are carved into stone on east, west and south sides of this chamber. These
are the only known court musical band images in the Tang Dynasty unearthed.
