One-Hundred-Li Azalea Belt Scenic Spot

One-Hundred-Li Azalea Belt Scenic Spot is situated at the juncture of the Dafang County and Qianxi County in Bijie City, Northwestern of Guizhou Province. With an altitude ranging between 1200 and 2000 meters, this belt is 1 - 5 kilometers in breadth and more than 50 kilometers in length with a total area of 130 square kilometers. It is a unique virgin azalea forest park in circularity distribution.
One-Hundred-Li Azalea Belt Scenic Spot is a state-rank forest park. It has more than 23 kinds of azaleas including some rare species. With large scale and unique feature, it is a natural garden among five biggest tourist attractions in western Guizhou. With an area of 95.74 square kilometer, Dafang County is the main distribution area of the One-Hundred-Li azalea. The main scenic spots include Baihe&Pengcheng Virgin Azalea Dense Forest, Nine-dragon Mountain Azalea Belt, Tianqiao&Gamu Virgin Azalea Belt, Dashui Virgin Azalea Belt and the Huangping Ten-Li Azalea Belt. Compare to the other scenic spot, the Baihe&Pengcheng Virgin Azalea Dense Forest has the largest area and give priority to the white flower, while the scarlet azalea is the main feature of the Tianqiao&Gamu Virgin Azalea Belt. Nine-dragon Mountain Azalea Belt is decorated with purple azaleas; the azalea trunk is grotesque in shape, as it was gigantic natural potted plant. With pink azalea planted all around, the Dashui Virgin Azalea Belt is the best-preserved belt of the azalea aboriginality. However, the most representative and typical azalea belt section is the Huangping Ten-Li Azalea Belt. Being famous for the exuberant azalea trees, various azalea species, variety of the designs and colors of the flowers and the magnificent view of the azalea flower, the Huangping Ten-Li Azalea Belt is considered to be the quintessence and the epitome of the One-Hundred-Li Azalea Belt.
