Shanghai Moller House

Moller House, located in the Shanxi Nan Rd, was built in early 20th century. There is a interesting genesis about the house. The daughter of a Swedish shipping magnate Eric Moller, saw a fairytale castle in her dream and wished she could have one. So a house in old Scandinavian .was designed and built according to her dream.

Its marble pillars, chandeliers, dark wood paneling, and beautiful stained glass windows remind you of the beautiful world in fairy stale. The completion of the house was delayed because a fortune-teller advised that terrible misfortune would befall Moller when the house was finished. Since 1949, the house has been used as the office of the Shanghai Communist Youth League. Now it is open to the public and restored as a boutique hotel.
