The Window
of the World
Situated
in the western part of the Overseas Chinese Town, the Window of the World
covers an area of 48 hectares. It is an influx of replicas of world wonders,
historical heritages and famous scenic sites.
The
entire masterpiece is built at ratios of 1:1, 1:5 or 1:15, and according
to geographical positions and category of scenes. This theme park is divided
in to nine scenic areas. They are the World Square, the Area of Asia,
the Area of Oceanic, the Area of Europe, the Area of Africa, the Area
of America, the Recreational Center of Modern Science & Technology,
the Sculpture Park and International Street.
To
be a huge collection of many reproductions of famous sites from different
countries, you can take the elevator to the top of the" Eiffel Tower"
to admire the beauty of scenery of Shenzhen and Hong Kong on the heights.
The Ancient Athens, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Tower of London
will carry you back to the cradle of classical European culture. When
you tour the miniature Roman Colosseum, you may recall some bloody fighting
scenes in the old Rome Times. Here the Pyramids and the Sphinx are all
vividly reproduced for you to watch and reconsider the long historical
culture of the Africa.
International
Street is mainly composed of the residential architecture of European,
Asian and Islamic styles. You cannot miss taste the delicious food of
France, Italy, Australia, Russia, Japan, Thailand and Korea as well as
the German beer and the Hawaii ice cream. You may choose a variety of
handicrafts and souvenirs with perfect skills from different countries.
In
the World Square, there are 50 more sculpted figures exquisitely modeled
on the celebrated statures in the world: the Monument To Johann Strauss,
the Discus-Thrower, the Apollo and the Thinker.
In
the park, the art carnivals were occasionally held, so you have chance
to wander in the cherry garden of Japan during the Cherry Festival. In
the summer holiday, the International Beer Festival is a big tourist attraction,
and the International Pop Music Festival is another highlight. The Window
of the World has a lot to offer, you cannot miss it. It must be a worthy
trip.
