Airport Fees

There are two kinds of additional travel fees in China's airports, domestic and international. When one travels within China, an "airport construction fee" of 50 RMB (about 6 US$) is levied at all domestic airports. When catching a departing flight out of China, a departure tax of 90 RMB (about 11 US$) will be charged. Now both airport fees are added on the flight cost; and the fee will be managed when you pay your air tikcets.

There are two exemptions to the departure tax. Passengers holding diplomatic passports or transit passengers stopping at the transit point within 24 hours are exempt from the departure tax.
