Tartar Mosque

Tartar Mosque is a main center for worship in Urumqi with an area of 3,000 square meters. It is also named Yanghang Mosque and its prayer hall is big enough for 1,000 believers to worship together. The mosque is unique for the traditional Tartar architecture, geometric carvings in wood and brick, and the dome adorned by a crescent.
The mosque is open to tourists under the condition of obtaining permission before visit.
